This year’s third annual Sound for Silents features a film from the Walker’s collection and a score performed by local funk and soul group Astralblak. It’s a perfect evening on the hillside with food trucks, drinks and live DJs.

Preserve, cultivate and celebrate the rich Irish heritage along the Mississippi River by delving into authentic dishes, listening to live music and watching Irish dancers perform. The Delphia Cello Quartet formed in 2017 has a repertoire of everything from classical to pop. At Icehouse they’ll perform “Bachianas Brasileiras No. 1” by the great modern Brazilian classical composer Heitor Villa-Lobos, plus some of their own arrangements.
The Sundance Film Festival Short Film Tour is widely considered the premier showcase for short films and the launchpad for many now-prominent independent filmmakers. The 2019 program offers 7 short films selected from this year’s Festival, including fiction, documentary, animation, sharply-written comedy, drama, edgy genre, and an intimate family saga.

The Local Music Scene is a rotating cast of some of the best improvisors in the Twin Cities who use the music of local artists as inspiration for improvised scenes. August’s guest is Russ Parrish, an award-winning singer/songwriter and Nashville native. Influenced by artists like Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, and NEEDTOBREATHE, his desire is to write and play songs of hope, bringing everyone together with his music.

Hannah Wolf started out as a musician 7 years ago doing vocals and percussion in local band “Shape Than Shift” at the young age of 15. She is a past recipient and prestigious main stage performer in Fargo’s Celebration of Women and Music.
