Come participate in the 13th annual Minneapolis Bike Tour. Starting and ending on Boom Island in Northeast Mpls., choose from numerous beautiful park and trail routes for you and your family to enjoy. All courses will be closed to motorized traffic and include stops providing refreshments and bike mechanics. Proceeds go towards bike safety, education and trail maintenance. Stay after to explore exhibitor booths, food and drink from local vendors and live music.
Earn your stripes and join the Minnesota Zoo for their annual Tiger Tracks 5K to raise money for wildlife conservation. The race starts at the Shady Oaks Picnic area and follows a course through the zoo on outdoor trails. Registered participants will receive free admission to the zoo on the event day and a commemorative t-shirt. Strollers are welcome.

Equal Pay Day is the symbolic day that marks the point in the year at which women's earnings will finally “catch up” to what men earned in the previous year alone. This year, April 2nd signified how far women collectively needed to work into 2019 to catch up to what men were paid in 2018. Because black women face an even larger wage gap, they need to work until August 22, 2019, to match what men earned the previous year, representing a 39% pay gap.
