Earth Day is the perfect time to do some spring-cleaning and get rid of your old technology! On Saturday, April 27 Minnesota Computers for Schools is hosting a computer donation drive – drop off your old computer equipment and put it to good use in the community.
MCFS refurbishes and reuses all donated equipment. The refurbished equipment is placed in schools and educational nonprofits throughout the state.
The first 100 people to donate a computer will receive a free beer coupon to redeem at the Surly beer hall.
Hear the “Pope’s favorite nun,” Sister Norma Pimentel, M.J., talk about her work welcoming immigrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. A moderated panel discussion will follow.
To benefit a local Minnetonka animal rescue, Secondhand Hounds, the infamous Jack Link’s Sasquatch will be hosting his very own kissing booth at the Wildside Store in Minneapolis’ Target Center. For every kiss the Sasquatch receives, Jack Link’s will donate $1 to Secondhand Hounds animal rescue. In addition, furry canine friends from Secondhand Hounds will be on-site and available to meet visitors.
