Find the sweetest candy treats and enjoy various activities at the family-friendly, not-so-scary Halloween Party at Edinborough Park. Families are encouraged to bring their costumed kiddos and take advantage of the full access to Adventure Peak and the Great Hall.
Trick or treat? This isn’t a trick—head over to 50th and France for a treat! Area businesses open their doors to costumed kids to hand out candy. There are also games, fire trucks that are ready to be toured and a costume contest, which is open to both pets and children; the winner will be selected by an audience applause meter!
Community Tree Lighting
Christmas celebrations can never start too early. Experience an air of festivity at 50th and France—during the day, support local businesses and visit with Santa; at night, listen to carolers and watch the live performances by Platinum Dance Company. Join the city in a community tree-lighting ceremony, and count down with the mayor to see the ornament-adorned tree shine its Christmas lights.
New Year’s Eve Party
Cheers to the new year with the whole family—Edinborough Park hosts an annual New Year’s Eve Party that lets the kids ring in the new year without staying up well past their bedtime. Play games, explore Adventure Peak, run around the Great Hall and jump into the swimming pool before 8 p.m. Then, the countdown begins, allowing for parents to get their kids in bed at a reasonable hour.
Winter Ice Festival
Embrace the chilly winter weather and head over to Centennial Lakes Park for a Winter Ice Festival. Watch the ice sculptors in awe as they transform a chunky block of ice into a beautiful figure. Families can skate under the bridges and across the lake, and kids can get their face painted. After a day of winter fun, warm up at the indoor and outdoor fireplaces while enjoying a snack from the concessions.
