Join author Lyz Lenz and former Mayor Betsy Hodges for an evening of conversation on Lenz's new book, God Land. Cocktails, light bites and mingling will lead off the event, followed by a discussion of the book between Lenz and Hodges. The conversation will culminate with a Q&A and book signing. Rose Winston is a lo-fi electronic pop act from Pittsburgh. Rose Winston's resume includes performances all over the US, visual art installments in the US and in Ireland, and a feature on Jack Johnson's non-profit compilation album. In her new debut album Quartz, Rose Winston writes lushly layered songs about walking in solidarity, needing each other, and our desires to live vibrantly. She organically colors her sonic space with beats, piano, synthesizers and voice, inspiring claims to harmonious living within a noisy world.

Once upon a time, the producer of Kids Do Comedy started performing stand-up as a child at the middle school’s talent show; Nancee told her classmates jokes about the Muppets and loved making people laugh!
Then Nancee grew up and worked in insurance! “Ick! This is boring!” Nancee said to herself. So Nancee went back to school, changed careers, and performed stand-up again, this time at the church festival in 2011. She said, “Yay! This is more like it!”
