For the second year in a row, dozens of local retailers will participate in an alternative campaign to Black Friday, known as Plaid Friday. Started five years ago in Oakland, Calif., Plaid Friday encourages consumers to put their holiday gift dollars back into the local economy by shopping at stores in their own communities.
The Christmas Corner, located in Southdale Center, is hosting a fundraising event for Angel Foundation with an open house on November 19th at 5:30. You will find holiday gifts for everyone on your Christmas list whether you are looking for an ornament for a child's sporting event, something for a co-worker, grandparent, newlywed, a new baby, military or a memorial for a special person or pet, you will find many options. We will gladly personalize your ornament purchase for free. Join us for refreshments, music and giveaways throughout the evening.
Saturday, October 24 from 10am - 1pm, Galleria will partner with St.
Jude Children's Research Hospital in a fundraising event benefiting
their foundation. This event is free to the public.
10:00AM - 1:00PM - Live pumpkin carving contest. Vote for your favorite pumpkin in center and on social media.
Please join us October 1 for the Oasis for Youth Building Futures Celebration of our 5-year anniversary. This year our annual fundraiser will take place at Pinstripes in Edina and will feature bowling and bocce games with prizes, a bonfire on the outdoor deck, a complete Italian meal, and a live auction with well-known auctioneer Karen Sorbo.
Join us for a fun day on the green and support the Edina Chamber of
Commerce. Non-chamber members are cordially welcome to golf with us and
enjoy networking with over 100 golfers and our event sponsors. This is also a
great way to thank a client or treat your team for a job well done. You may
register individually or as a group. Cost includes breakfast, lunch, green fees
and cart. Register by July 31 to receive the "early birdee"
discount of $125 per golfer. Fees increase to $150 per golfer starting August
Simon Says Give®, an Eagan-based nonprofit with the mission of Kids Celebrating Kids®, is proud to present in partnership with the Woodbury YMCA Youth Group a Hollywood Meets Bollywood Dance. Mandi Simon the founder of Simon Says Give is one of 25 GlobeChangers across the nation recognized by the Jefferson Awards Foundation in 2015.
As part of its 25th-anniversary celebration, Q. Cumbers is hosting a night of food and music June 12 to benefit PACER Center!
Singer and "The Voice: season six" top-five semifinalist Kat Perkins will headline the outdoor concert, at Edina's Centennial Lakes Park. Tickets are $30 (VIP seating $50), and include a picnic dinner and a meet-and-greet with Kat Perkins following the show.
