"The Parkinson's Talk"

More than 1 million Americans have Parkinson’s disease, a neurodegenerative brain disorder, and there is no cure. Learn more about the disease and the latest research and treatment when Rose Wichman, manager of the Struthers Parkinson’s Center, Golden Valley, Minn., presents “The Parkinson’s Talk” on Tuesday, April 14 at 1 p.m., at Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities.

Covenant Village of Golden Valley Presents "Are You Being Fleeced?"

Senior adults are more at risk of identity theft than any other age group, according to the National Crime Prevention Council. Learn how to safeguard yourself and your finances during "Are You Being Fleeced?"-- an educational workshop hosted by Covenant Village of Golden Valley, a faith-based, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community administered by Covenant Retirement Communities. The workshop is scheduled for Friday, March 20th at 1:00p.m.

Cornelia Science Fair

50 student-designed exhibits line the tables at Cornelia Elementary School’s cafeteria, representing two months of research by teams and individual scientists ages 4 through 10. Student scientists will be on hand to share their research methodology with parents, teachers, community members and peers. Most displays also include a journal, in which competitors describe the step-by-step process that took them from hypothesis to conclusion.
