Edina Education Fund, a mission-aligned partner to the Edina Public Schools, is proud to announce details of its highly anticipated, annual event Band Together, scheduled to take place from 11 a.m.–10 p.m. on August 22 at Edina High School.
In addition to diverse music and entertainment acts during the day, including the puppet and mask talents of Heart of the Beast Puppet Theatre, funk artist “St. Paul” Peterson and award-winning Edina Public Schools student musicians, there will be family-friendly games and activities, food trucks, raffle and prizes, as well as appearances by local officials and celebrities. Between performances, students, staff and parents will share stories of how mental health resources in the Edina Public Schools have benefitted them.
Evening performances will be:
- Aiden Intro: Aiden Hengel is a 2019 Edina High School graduate who is known for his jazz-influenced Indie Pop. His high energy shows make his audience want to dance.
- Chutes: Chutes is a Minneapolis-based group known for their energetic and eclectic performances.
- Wondrous Wontons: Wondrous Wontons is a local 80’s cover band comprised of several alumni from Edina High School Class of 1982.
This is a free event with a suggested donation of $20 per person or $50 per family—requested either in advance or on the day of the event. All proceeds support mental health and wellness programs in the Edina Public Schools, including benevolence funding for underinsured or uninsured students and wellness resources and support for staff.
