The winners of Fastest Man\, Woman and Kid will receive custom trophies and gear so you can show off your talent the entire year. The best part? You don’t have to run to participate! There will also be “Best Dressed” awards for those showing the most spirit. \nLast year we raised $8\,000 and every penny was donated to Edina Give & Go and the Edina Community Foundation. DESCRIPTION:Rally to Reverse Rett Minneapolis is a fundraising event hoping to create a world without Rett syndrome\, a severe condition of the nervous system affecting 1 in 10\,000 females. Local supporters will gather to raise funds to benefit Rett Syndrome Research Trust (RSRT)\, a national nonprofit focusing on the acceleration of full spectrum research for a cure and empowering families with information\, knowledge and connectivity. \nThe Minneapolis event is organized by four local families affected by Rett syndrome. Two honorees living with Rett\, Kate Backer and Lauren Stevens\, will be a part of the event\, and there will be tributes in loving memory of Elli Anderson and Sara Bea whose lives were taken far too soon by this terrible disorder. All event contributions will go directly to RSRT\, which is currently undertaking two human clinical trials in gene replacement\, an extremely promising approach.

DESCRIPTION:Knit for Food Knit-a-thon is a 12-hour knitting marathon to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity.
