We regularly feature photo submissions from our Images of Edina photo contest in the pages of Edina Magazine and online. This month, we asked Vicki Hurwitz to tell us about her 2020 award-winning photograph titled Mirror Image.
Hurwitz noticed the reflection of this Centennial Lakes office building in the water and the clouds reflected in the windows and decided to click a picture with her Panasonic Lumix ZS 200.
She says, “To me, the building disappears, only the framing remains through which you can see the clouds.” When Hurwitz’s daughter-in-law noticed Edina Magazine was accepting Images of Edina photo submissions, she suggested that Hurwitz should enter; a decision that led to Mirror Image winning the business category in our 2020 contest.
