Head elf Albert is looking for an assistant; can you help Santa and Albert?
The North Pole is buzzing with activity this November and December. Presents need to be wrapped and sorted, reindeer need to be fed and groomed, the sleigh needs to be tuned-up in the shop and the big man himself needs to check his list (twice)!
Head elf Albert is feeling extra overwhelmed and Santa thinks he should look for an assistant. Do you think you can help?
For over 30 years, Bachman’s has hosted its beloved holiday play over weekends in November and December. Kids from one to 92 are welcome to this free and fun holiday experience, located in the Polyhouse Greenhouse at Bachman’s on Lyndale.
“We’re so excited that we’re back, in person, in the greenhouse after a two-year hiatus because of the pandemic,” says Karen Bachman, director of marketing and 5th-generation family member. “We are ready to welcome audiences back.”
The 2022 holiday play will also feature a new face: Iris the elf. “She’s a new cast member, a new elf, she has a ton of energy,” Bachman says. “She’s a good addition to Bachman’s North Pole.”
Bachman says her favorite part of the event is when Santa first comes onstage. “It’s that magical moment of, ‘Oh my gosh, he’s here!’” she says. “The play is so funny and it’s heartwarming. There’s a little bit of a moral to the story and I personally think it’s fun to see how people engage with the magic, whether they’re really young kids or adults.”
After the play, visitors will be invited to sing carols and take their picture with Santa and Albert. Santa’s reindeer will also make appearances on select Saturdays. For the full event calendar, visit bachmans.com.
