Becky Peterson and her kids make regular trips to the Edina Library. This photo was snapped on one such trip in April 2022. It features her son, Max, who was 7 at the time.
“My three kids all love going to the library. We regularly have 50 books checked out at any one time, so library visits are often,” Peterson says. “On this visit, my son finished picking out books and then sat down to start reading. I loved how focused he was and the way I could get the right angle to have him isolated without anything else going on around him in the picture.”
She edited it to be in black and white, loving how “it simplifies all that’s going on and makes the focus really on Max and his book,” she says.
