Braemar Arena and Field—famous for hosting popular events from Hornet hockey games to figure skating shows—features a wall devoted to hockey and figure skating history with a large mural.
“This facility is such a big part of Edina,” says Chad Eischens, general manager at Braemar. “The mural represents the history of Braemar going back over 50 years.”
From 1952 to 2017, there’s an enormous photo montage of several important events in Braemar’s long lifetime. From it’s opening days as simply one arena to the place where the Edina High School’s girls hockey team won the state championship for the first time. So whether you’re trying to expand your hockey knowledge or simply learn more about your community, this is definitely a landmark to check out.
