Pinstripes has a celebration in store for Cinco de Mayo. Quench any south-of-the-border-sized thirst with a special margarita. The margarita Italianos is $6 all-day on May 5th. Also enjoy a Pacifica Claras Mexican beer for $3. Cinco de sip!

Cinco de Mayo Party Trimmings

Pick up a party piñata or check out some adorable taco-loving dragons in the bestselling book, Dragons Love Tacos. There are also taco garlands, taco stationary and other colorful curios at Paper Source in Edina. Store staff is on hand to assist with any Latin party theme inspiration. A kit party pulls everything together in a comfortably organized setting. (Some kit parties even include BYO beverages, food and music. Think taco Tuesday with a purpose.) Up to 15 participants get hands-on decorator experience guided by experts, assembling rosettes, pom-poms and other novelties. Customize a look to personalize your Cinco de Mayo celebration and make party planning a fiesta of fun. Prices vary by item.

Edina Education Fund: Cinco de Mayo Charity Event

The Edina Education Fund will hold its second annual Cinco de Mayo event on May 4. Join in the festivities among friends with Mexican appetizers and margaritas. Edina Education Fund Board Members will be on hand to make guests feel at home. Proceeds benefit Edina pubic school programs.

Try Pinstripes’ recipe for Margarita Italiano!

  • 1 1/4 oz. Don Julio Silver Tequila
  • 1 1/2 oz. Limoncello
  • 1 1/2 oz. Sweet and sour mix
  • Splash of Frothee (all-purpose creamy topper for cocktails)
  • Splash of POM Wonderful pomegranate juice
  • Lime wedges
  • Straws

Garnish the rim of a tall clear glass with salt. Drop in ice to fill. Top with tequila, Limoncello, sweet and sour mix, Frothee and pomegranate juice. Garnish with a lime wedge and straw.
