Edina Thespians prepare to show us the “funny” side of conflict.
Edina Thespians will soon perform Heathers the Musical. Put on by some incredibly talented high school actors, there are a number of reasons you won’t want to miss this show.
For starters, it has a wonderfully dark plot. The main character, Veronica Sawyer, performed by Ella Dolynchu, uses her wits to climb to the top of the greatest high school clique–the Heathers. The three Heathers initially accept Veronica until she begins to fall in love with J.D., performed by Ethan Senna, a new young stud that seems to be getting everyone’s attention. When Heather Chandler, performed by Alex Zycova, catches wind of this, Veronica gets booted from the group–and so begins a violent tale of girls, boys, love and deception.
The play is directed by Anthony Matthes, and will have several showings throughout the month. Whether it’s just a rainy April day, or you really just need to unwind with some dark humor, this is certainly a show not to be missed.
