MSPIFF@EdinaTheatre Launch Night including reception at Raag

To kick off the Edina Theatre as a satellite venue of the Minneapolis Saint Paul International Film Festival we’re having a fun-filled Launch Night! A cocktail reception at Raag Indian Cuisine will be bookended by two films. The first is a sweet Indian comedy about mixed-up brides, Lost Ladies, at 3:15 p.m. At 7 p.m., our launch night presentation is Speak., a rousing documentary about high school students competing at the National Oratory Competition, which played to acclaim on opening day at Sundance this past January. One of the film’s breakout star-subjects, Apple Valley High School student Mfaz Mohamed Ali (now at Northwestern University) will join us for a Q&A post-screening.
