Eagle-eyed golfers may have noticed their favorite course’s logos popping up around town. It’s Heritage Gear’s latest foray into the world of luxury accessories. “Golf wasn’t so much an expansion for us as it was a natural alignment,” says vice president of sales for the Edina-based company Ty Munneke. “Our product line … already resonated with customers who value craftsmanship, tradition and understated quality. That same mindset is deeply rooted in the golf community.”
The collection includes backpacks, leather bag tags, shoe bags, valuables pouches, weekender bags and other leather goods. Most items are custom-ordered by clubs and branded with their logos. Each piece is handcrafted in the United States, using sustainably sourced wool and leather. “Because most clubs are private, our products are usually reserved for members and their guests,” Munneke says. Locally, items are available at Interlachan and Edina country clubs. For more information, go to heritagegear.com.
