Hydrafacials, sunscreen and more are key to combating sun damage.

Best of Edina salon finalist Lili Salon Spa in the Galleria is all about keeping your skin healthy through the hot Minnesota summer. For the face, operations director Sara Jessen says a hydrafacial, also known as the red carpet facial, is ideal to combat sun damage.

“It’s not your typical facial,” Jessen says. “It gives an instant glow.”

For self-tanners, she recommends a body polish treatment before tanning. “It exfoliates everything,” she says, making it easier for the spray tan to apply evenly to the skin. “You can add it into a massage or facial.”

Lili also recommends sunscreen for the face, as people often forget. They have three types of tinted moisturizers with SPF 45 in an original dewy finish or a matte finish.
