Mother captures her child having fun at the park.
Rebecca (Becky) Peterson, Edina resident and mother, took this picture April 17, 2021, at Birchcrest Park in Edina. “It was a beautiful Saturday, and we were so happy to be outside, enjoying the fresh air.” Peterson says. “The picture was taken with my Apple iPhone. I’m definitely a hobbyist [photographer], but I love taking pictures, particularly of my kids and pets. I love to capture them happy and playing, being silly and creative and brave.”
The picture can’t help but take anyone back to childhood fun and adventure. “In this picture, my little guy had mastered climbing atop the monkey bars and was so proud of himself,” Peterson says. “His wild curls were particularly wild—a product of no haircuts during COVID-19. He was happy being a regular kid, and it was wonderful to see.”
