Fridays at our house mean one thing: pizza night.
In the warmer months, we love using our outdoor pizza oven for patio pizza night, and in the winter, we typically get takeout pizza or make these delicious pizza rolls. They are a super easy appetizer, snack or dinner, made with refrigerated pizza dough, pizza sauce, pepperoni, shredded Italian cheese and all of your favorite pizza toppings! We added mushrooms, but bell peppers, olives, onion and sausage would all be delicious.
Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
- 1 refrigerated pizza dough
- ⅓–½ cup pizza sauce
- ½ cup pepperoni, chopped
- ½–¾ cup Italian cheese, shredded
- other pizza toppings: mushrooms, diced green bell pepper, Italian sausage, diced onions, black olives, etc.
Garlic Butter
- 2 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ tsp. dried oregano
- 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Unroll the pizza dough, and spread a thin layer of the pizza sauce on the dough. Sprinkle cheese, pepperoni and other toppings of choice, being careful not to overload it. Roll the pizza dough along the long side of the rectangle. Cut the log in half, and cut each half into four rolls. This should produce eight rolls. Lightly grease a cast iron skillet or 8-inch baking dish. Place pizza rolls in the pan. Combine the melted butter, garlic powder and oregano in a small bowl. Brush this mixture over the rolls. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 28 minutes. The rolls should be golden brown and baked through. Serve with pizza sauce. Enjoy.
