Edina Magazine is partnering with 50th & France in celebration of our first-ever weddings issue.
“50th & France has been quietly outfitting brides, grooms, mothers of the bride and wedding guests for decades,” says Rebecca Sorensen, director of the 50th & France Business Association. “When we heard about the new Edina Magazine weddings issue, we knew there was a [collaboration] in there for us somewhere. One of our boutiques, DUGO, had floated the concept of a First Comes Love fashion show last year, and we decided to make it a reality with the launch of the new wedding magazine.”

Sorensen walks us through what to expect, from a wedding runway show emceed by fashion designer Christopher Straub to inspiring bites and sips from 50th & France event caterers.
Tickets include the fashion show, sips and bites and exclusive swag bag. What kinds of things can attendees expect to receive in the swag bags?
RS: We’ll have fun incentives from 50th & France businesses from beauty services to gift ideas. We also have 10 amazing giveaways from our generous 50th & France businesses to sprinkle into the event including a pair of diamond earrings and a $500 gift card to R. F. Moeller and so much more.

Are there any special guests involved with the event?
RS: We are so excited for our local celebrity models from The Golden Bachelor’s Leslie Fhima to Mrs. Minnesota to models and influencers. We love our models of all ages! They are really turning our little event into something special to experience.
How are local 50th & France businesses getting involved?
RS: The businesses have wowed us with how they’ve jumped into the event. From the impeccable styling of the models to hair and make-up teams from the district—including District on 50th Salon and Spa, Jett Beauty and Cos Bar—to bring the bridal visions to life; to our restaurants catering the event and Edina Liquor providing a pop-up bar, it really is incredible to see our businesses excited to give everyone a fun experience as we celebrate our friends at Edina Magazine and their new wedding issue.

What are you most excited about in relation to the event?
RS: I can’t wait to see everyone blown away by the talented stores we have in our district and what they are sending down the runway. Our businesses just amaze me, and I’m so proud of the effort we’ve made together for First Comes Love. We hope everyone has a fantastic time!
