Second shoppe location is icing on the cupcake for anyone with a sweet tooth.
Though Amy Brace had been baking her whole life, she never imagined it would become a full-time career. Then, she became obsessed with the television show Cupcake Wars and started to take baking seriously. Now, she’s opened her second bakery—this one in Edina at Southdale Center.
The original location of Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe has been thriving in Hopkins since it opened its doors in 2016. “It surprised us how busy we were,” Brace says. With around 100 customers daily, she decided it was time for a second shop and Edina was just the place.
Amy’s Cupcake Shoppe opened its doors in Southdale Center this past summer. While this location won’t take special orders, expect to see a variety of freshly baked cupcakes including fall favorites like pumpkin spice, chai tea latte and gingerbread.
“We have a few staples,” Brace says. But you should stop in often because, “you never know what you’re going to get.”
