Add a little sparkle to your weekend with the City of Edina’s jewelry exchange, Bling It On. The free community event is from 3 to 5 p.m. February 28 at the Edina Senior Center. Guests can swap gently used jewelry and small accessories, such as handbags. It’s an environmentally friendly way to refresh a collection. “It’s free, and people are encouraged to bring items, but it’s not strictly necessary,” says Twila Singh, the city’s organics recycling coordinator.
The public is welcome to drop off jewelry on February 27 to the Senior Center during business hours or bring items directly to the event. “We will need volunteers to help with setup, detangling necklaces and clean up,” Singh says. To volunteer, email tsingh@edinamn.gov.
