Edina’s Connecting with Kids program aspires to recognize adults in the community who contribute to the growth and wellbeing of local youth.
Helping to develop healthy kids and a healthy community requires the input of caring adults. Edina’s Connecting with Kids program aspires to recognize adults in the community who contribute to the growth and wellbeing of local youth. Guided by research from Minneapolis based Search Institute, Connecting with Kids helps identify external and internal assets that help young people succeed. Among those assets are support and empowerment that are most often provided by generous adults and opportunities to serve. The annual Connecting with Kids Leadership Breakfast recognizes such people for their commitment to kids and community service. Check out this event and be inspired by the wonderful work happening all around Edina that helps kids be the best that they can be.
The 2020 Connecting with Kids Leadership Breakfast will be on Friday, March 13 from 7-9 a.m. at the Edina Country Club. Breakfast is free but registration is required. Visit edinacommunityfoundation.org to register.
The 2019 Connecting with Kids honorees were featured individually in issues of Edina Magazine: Student Leadership Award winner Shrey Ramesh along with adult volunteer honorees Beth Swanson (pictured above), Ryan Elbing, Caroline Correia and Craig Lebakken.
