Art gallery exhibitions can feel intimidating, especially for those without a background in fine art. They’re an opportunity to support the creative process, enjoy the experience and learn something new.
To help ease the nerves and encourage conversation, here are three questions you can ask at an art exhibition to deepen your engagement with the artwork:
- What inspired the use of color in this piece?
- Can you tell me about the process behind creating this artwork?
- How does this piece connect to the artist’s previous works or their overall vision?
