Bling It On was the brainchild of Twila Singh, the City of Edina’s organics recycling coordinator. The City of Edina invited residents to the Edina Senior Center on February 28 to donate jewelry and accessories such as handbags and scarves. Volunteers detangled necklaces and set up the event, which had everything from bangles and bracelets to earrings and necklaces beautifully displayed for free public “shopping.” It promoted reuse, accessibility and community connection.
